​This time my focus goes to two very interesting watches made by the Manufaktur Waldhoff company. Name of the company suggests it's a German watch company. Well that was true in the first period of the company from years 2015-2022. All their watches produced in that period wear the "Made in Germany" label. In 2022 assembly was moved to Asia, new watches lost the "Made in Germany" label. The whole history of the company can be found on their official web page.

If you are my regular visitor and follow my reviews you have for sure noticed that I have mentioned LeJour brand before. Usually I mentioned it when trying to evaluate the price of some other brand's watch as LeJour stood up as one of the cheapest among the Swiss made watches. Yet my reference to LeJour watches was partially unfair or let's at least say unproven as I never had any of LeJour watch models. When in the seriouswatches.com shop I noticed the latest version of the LeJour chronograph model Rally Monte Carlo, with the red dial and black totalizers, I decided that finally the time has come to purchase one LeJour and to evaluate what  I am referring to.

Today I would like to give you a brief introduction of a very interesting watch, made by the company MWC. MWC is a German watch company established back in 1974, the name MWC reveals what the company is focused on. Namely, MWC stands for Military Watch Company. Therefore all their watches are somehow inspired by some famous historical military watches, a good part of their collection are not just inspired by those watches but are "hommages" or replicas of them. Almost all MWC watches are low budget watches, using quartz or automatic Seiko NH35 movements, lately I noticed some watches with (probably Chinese) ETA 2824 clone.

In the last few months I purchased two similar yet very different watches from the Panzera Aquamarine line. Instead of making a separate review of each one, I decided to rather make a joint one, as this will give a better overview of the Panzera as a brand.

In my previous review I already announced that a new watch was on it's way to me. As it is here now, it's time for a full description of my new watch. I am talking about the watch called Leviathan 02 from the company Biatec. 

Today I would like to introduce a watch that became a part of my collection just by coincidence. While I was searching for a diver watch which is at the moment on my way to me and will be reviewed soon, I just accidentally ran into the Swiss Military by Chrono 300m diver watch. Maybe you will remember that almost three years ago I already described one Swiss Military watch, but that one was made by Hanowa (check the review here). Even today I am still confused about all those brands who use "Swiss Military", I just know that this watch, made  "by Chrono" and "Hanowa" , do not have much in common...

Every year the period between mid November, when Black Friday sales starts, until the end of the year when the last Christmas sales ends, can be quite hectic for all watch lovers. All web shops you were ever shopping at or even just registrering to are sending exclusive offers, discount codes, etc.  

If you an older watch collector or if you specialized in vintage watches, then you have for sure heard of A.Schild brand, as that brand was one of the most important movement producers in the period from fifties until the quartz crisis in the seventies. The quartz crisis actually made brand to be merged with ETA at the end of seventies. Brand ceased to exist.

If you follow my reviews or my web page in general, you have already noticed that I have no real prejudices about watches. I have (or at least had) in my collection watches from the cheapest few euros worth watches up to the very expensive luxury watches. So, it can not be a surprise if - from time to time - I buy also some Chinese watches. But so far I have only once decided to make a review of a watch from China. It was the Fiyta Spacemaster review, which happens to be one of the most popular ones among all of my reviews, based on the reading history...

Today's review is focused on a watch which I admired for quite a while but due to relatively high price it never reached my top of the wish list. Until now. Since six years has passed after the release of the watch, some retailers drastically reduced the price of it and I was able to find an offer which finally was suitable for me. So, which watch is that? It's a Franck Dubarry Crazy wheel on a titanium case. 

One of my first articles about watches was the short introduction of the Raketa Russian Code watch. At that time I still did not have my own web page, I also was not so interested in writing such impressions about my watches at all. But an idea to make a watch where all hands run in opposite direction to what we are used to was so interesting to me that at that time I decided to publish an introduction to that watch on our local forum. An article was later revised and published on my pages as well. If you are not familiar with the watch I strongly recommend first reading the revised article before continuing with reading this one.

Two months ago I published a review about Hanhart Primus Desert watch where I complained about imperfections seen on the dial. Well, a lot has happened since then. First Mark from Seriouswatches contacted me. He apologised for not seeing those imperfections before sending me the watch. He also immediately contacted Hanhart to let them know about the status of my watch.  And asked for the permission to share my personal details with Hanhart. 

Is's been almost exactly five years ago when a member of the Croatian watch forum, which I am also a member of, published the link to this article. As you can see an article announced a new micro watch brand called Marnaut, which has a Croatian origins. Even though I am not from Croatia, I (as of course a lot of my forum friends that were actually from Croatia) was intrigued by this fact. I even checked kickstarter project, but even though I liked the design, the fact that the watch, called Dark Surge, had a relatively high price for a Miyota 9015 powered watch prevented me to pull the trigger on that Kickstarter. Namely, back in 2018 the kickstarter price was 450 EUR with the high probability of additional taxes and shipping from Hong Kong, what we believed would be the case, so the total cost nearly 600 EUR.  And then I forgot about it.

For the start - I must admit that the watch that I am going to present here came to my attention by a coincidence. Even though I know the brand Hanhart well (Hanhart plays an important part of my alarm collection) I did not follow what the company is doing now. Until Mark from the Seriouswatches.com company within our conversation about the purchase of my Formex watch mentioned that Seriouswatches would become a Hanhart official dealer. So - I checked what Hanhart has to offer. And - I was quite impressed and intrigued with what I saw. A whole bunch of different chronograph collections, most of them inspired by chronographs developed and issued in the late 1930's. I strongly recommend reading the short history of Hanhart to better understand the design of the present watches.

Have you ever heard of Formex? No? Don't worry, you are not alone. Even though Formex is a more than 20 years old family owned Swiss company, it is less known than it should be. 

At the end of year 2022 Raketa announced the release of the new watch dedicated to the USSR space travel history. This time the focus was on the first satellite "Sputnik 1" which was launched in 1957. So the new watch celebrates the 65th anniversary of this achievement. 

Fortis. As far as I remember one of my first Swiss brand that joined my collection. And from that moment one of my most beloved brands. Let me explain, why.

I receive a lot of adverts from different web watch stores daily. Most of them are just ignored, but from time to time something attracts my attention. One of the ones was the advert from one shop, offering a huge discount for GEVRIL watches. I admit, I have never heard of that brand, or to be more exact, I did know of it's existence, but that was it. So I clicked to the link.
